23 hours and counting
Well we are under 23 hours until I have to be at the hospital. Got a lot done yesterday, took all the comforters to the laundromat, did a little shopping for comfy pants, a new robe and lots of antibacterial soaps at bath & body works, they were having a great sale so I bought 12 bottles, lol. Today we are going to go grocery shopping, do some meal planning for Ed so he can fend for himself this week while I recuperate. My mom called last night and she is coming down today to be with me tonight and then sit with Ed and my sister Chris tomorrow while I am in surgery. I am so lucky to have a great support system. Have a great day and I am sure Ed will keep everyone updated on how I am doing.

My favorite day of the week
I actually slept in this morning by like 4 hours, lol. I have been getting up anywhere between 2-3:30 for the past couple of weeks so I can get work done since I am off next week. Well I am down 10.6 pounds now and my stomach thinks that my throat has been cut since I am only allowed liquids, hahahahaha. But I can't wait to see the final me when this is all said and done. Well we are heading to the laundry mat this morning to wash our king size bedding, it just doesn't fit in my washer at home. Then we are heading to Mylan Park for the Christmas craft show. http://www.familyfestivals.com/WV-Christmas.html
hope you all have a great day and stay warm, baby it's cold out there.

Surgery Time Scheduled
Well that is 5 days down with no real food, just lots of liquids and prepping for surgery. The hospital called this afternoon and told me to arrive at 5 am on Monday, heck that shouldn't be a problem since Ed and I are early risers. Now it seems real with the O.R time set and my nerves are getting the better of me. Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement, it really means a lot to me. I will keep ya all posted.

1st day of the rest of my life
As many of you know I am having gastric bypass on November 17th. I have been preparing for this since May and now I am in the final stages before surgery. Today starts my all liquid diet, 800 calories and 100 grams of protein is what I am shooting for daily until surgery. I have my shelves stocked with everything that I can have. I have a great support system in place, my husband Ed is going to keep me on target and my sister Chris and her hubby Jim are my role models. I couldn't do it without all of you. I will post a picture before I go into the hospital Monday Morning and I will post more as the weeks go by. I am totally looking forward to this next step in my life. Stay tuned.
